COVID 19 UPDATE
Unfortunately, some clinics will remain closed until we have advice from the Scottish Government that it is safe to resume activity.
FACE Ltd. aims to continue to provide exemplary care at this time with the evolving situation around the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our patients and staff is paramount. We want to reassure our current and potential patients that we are taking the developing situation very seriously and following the guidance from the Department of Health and Royal College of Surgeons. We have implemented specific measures to help protect our patients, clinicians and staff as follows.
Patients Measures include:
• Calls to assess and screen all patients booked in for future appointments
• Virtual Consultations will be available
• Only patients who are asymptomatic should attend. We recommend our surgical patients ensure they have been self-isolating for 14 days prior to surgery
• Advising patients to attend appointments on their own (unless they need assistance)
• Encouraging patients to stay in the car or away from the clinic whilst waiting
• All patients will have a non-contact temperature screening upon arrival
• All patients to use hand gel upon arrival
• Maintaining a safe distance between patients and staff in waiting areas and following social distancing rules
The Staff follow the national Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) guidance to minimise potential COVID-19 transmission:
• We use the appropriate level of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in line with the latest guidance from Public Health Scotland
• Good hand & respiratory hygiene; keeping hands away from face when wearing any face protection
• Declaring all COVID-like symptoms, however mild
• Wherever possible, reducing transmission risk between different areas. All staff will maintain strict infection control protocols before and after every patient contact.
• Social distancing (2 metres) inside and outside of clinical areas
• Understanding the risk of surface contact transmission and frequently cleaning any shared equipment e.g. mobile phones, desk phones and other communication devices, tablets, desktops, keyboards etc
Like yourselves, we are hopeful that with all measures being taken collectively the pandemic will come under better control and permit us to function more normally in the future.
